Mine is a progressive brand of forest management designed to generate a steady stream of income for landowners, while increasing the ecological health and economic value of their forests over time. The mainstay of this management approach is a program of systematic, restorative harvesting using low-impact modern, animal-powered extraction. The major benefit of this approach is that the ecological health and subsequent economic value of the forest increases at each time step. And more importantly, the forest remains always intact, and so does its ability to provide invaluable ecosystem services, such as wildlife habitat, clean air, carbon sequestration, water retention and purification, and soil enrichment and stabilization.
