My main goal is to restore Piedmont forests to a late-successional condition while meeting human demand for natural resources. Late-successional Piedmont forests are typically dominated by a mature, mixed hardwood component and have high species diversity and complex structural organization.
My other goals are to cultivate durable relationships with landowners by providing the best in comprehensive forest management, to encourage a shift toward community-based natural resource management, to strengthen the local economy by supporting local markets, to increase public awareness/demand for a responsible forestry through presentations and demonstrations, and to work toward fossil fuel independence.
